KASUR: The police arrested on Wednesday an accused who attempted to molest a nine-year-old boy in Kasur.
According to police official, Tayyab Islam, a resident of Bhedian Kalan, reported the police that his 9-year-old nephew Shehzad was playing outside the house when the suspect Mubeen lured him to his house and tried to molest him.
Police official said that when the accused tried to molest the boy, he started screaming and on listening the screams of the boy, the nearby residents reached the spot. The local residents caught the accused and handed over to police.
A team of Police Station Ganda Singh Wala led by SHO Ahad Masood took immediate action after the incident was reported and took the suspect into custody.
A case has also been registered against the arrested suspect.
