PEF and PU join hands to enhance educational research and development

LAHORE: The Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) and the Punjab University have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the former’s educational initiatives through scholarly research collaboration.

The MoU was signed in the office of Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Mahmood, with Managing Director of PEF Manzar Javed Ali, Deputy Managing Director (Operations) Qurat ul-Ain Memon, and Punjab University Director (External Linkages) Professor Dr. Sobia Khurram also signing the document.

As per the MoU, research scholars, BS (Honours), MPhil, MS, and PhD students of the Institute of Education and Research Department (IER) of Punjab University will conduct research on topics given by PEF.

PEF will provide research grants to ensure that researchers and students do not face financial hardship during research.

The partnership between PEF and PU will result in the provision of quality education to children enrolled in partner schools affiliated with PEF programs.

Ali expressed his optimism, saying that this agreement would greatly benefit research-based policymaking. He further added that this collaboration would yield positive outcomes for the education sector in Punjab.
