Kite string claims child’s life in Karachi

KARACHI: A 10-year-old boy lost his life after a kite string cut his throat in the Bandhani Colony area of Liaquatabad situated in the provincial capital.

According to the rescue authorities, the deceased victim has been identified as Shah Faiz. A relative of the deceased said Shah Faiz, along with his friends, was trying to get hold of a kite when a string cut his throat as he tried to avoid a car at Lyari Expressway. The victim succumbed to his injuries while being shifted to a nearby hospital for medical aid.

Police said the body of Shah Faiz was shifted to the Abbassi Shaheed Hospital however, his family took away the body without legal formalities.
