OKARA: The livestock department 800 kilogram dead chicken meat and detained two people here on Friday.
On a tip-off, Deputy Director along with his team conducted an operation in Renala Khurd area of district Okara during which 800 kilogram dead chicken meat which was to be transported to Lahore was recovered.
The recovered dead chicken was to be supplied to hotels and fast food points where it was to be used for ‘Shawarma’, chicken burgers and tikkas.
The recovered meat was disposed off and detainees were handed over to city police which after registering a case against them started an investigation.
