LAHORE: Punjab Education Foundation (PEF) and Government College University Lahore (GCU) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance the quality of education and improve educational policies in Punjab.
The signing ceremony took place at Government College University Lahore and was attended by several high-ranking officials from both institutions.
Under the terms of the agreement, GCU Research Scholars, BS (Honours), MPhil, MS, and PhD students will conduct academic research on PEF educational projects, and PEF will provide research grants to encourage research in the education sector.
Speaking at the ceremony, PEF Managing Director Manzar Javed Ali reiterated PEF’s commitment to providing quality education to the children of Punjab, and said that the research findings from this partnership with GCU will help PEF make informed decisions and formulate policies to improve the education system in Punjab.
Vice-Chancellor of GCU, Professor Dr. Asghar Zaidi, expressed his appreciation for the efforts of PEF in the field of education under the PEF Public-Private Partnership model and reiterated GCU’s commitment to academic research.
The ceremony ended with a briefing from the Vice Chancellor of Government College University, who gave the officials from PEF a tour of some of the university’s departments.
Both institutions expressed confidence in the partnership and believe that it will lead to meaningful collaborations and a positive impact on the education sector in Punjab.
