24 teachers suspended over participation in May 9 violent protests

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Education Department suspended 24 teachers over participation in violent protests of May 09.

According to details, the KP Education Department has started the action against teachers who attended the violent protests against arrest of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan from premises of the Islamabad High Court (IHC).

The District Education Officer Lower Dir suspended the 24 teachers who participated in the violent protest for three months period.

According to the notification, the teachers were suspended in the light of the inquiry report as they were found guilty.
