Sheikh Rashid takes jibe at Shehbaz govt over political, economic turmoil

RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League chief Sheikh Rashid Ahmad on Friday said the masses are now left with a question mark if the elections will take place in the country in a transparent way, adding this is an established fact that Pakistan’s life depends only on political stability.

“The political stability will come when transparent elections will take place. The looted wealth and foreign assets won’t come to rescue the nation,” he said in a series of tweets.

Rashid said when the suitable time comes the people of Pakistan would announce their verdict which would baffle the corrupt mafia.

Indirectly referring to the finance minister, the seasoned politician said the one who claimed to bring down the US dollar to Rs200 has lost consciousness as he [Ishaq Dar] is seen either knocking the IMF’s door, begging from the diplomats or attacking the journalists.

“The finance manager of Ittefaq Foundry can become a relative or destroy the economy but can not become an economist,” Rashied further said.

He said the countdown of the IMF decision had begun whether or not the country’s fate would be fixed in a week, adding on the one hand the incumbent rulers are focusing on delivering speeches and photo sessions, but on the other the titanic of economy is sinking.
