Five additional judges of Balochistan High Court take oath

QUETTA: Chief Justice of Balochistan High Court Justice Naeem Akhtar Afghan on Tuesday administered the oath to the five additional judges of the Balochistan High Court in a ceremony.

The swearing-in ceremony was held in the Balochistan High Court, and Judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan Justice Jamal Khan Mandukhel specially participated in the ceremony.

While judges of Balochistan High Court and subordinate courts, former judges and lawyers were also present in large numbers.

The permanent Additional Judges included Justice Iqbal Ahmed Kasi, Justice Shaukat Ali Rukhshani, Justice Gul Hasan Tareen, Justice Mohammad Amir Nawaz Rana and Justice Sardar Ahmed Halimi.

After these judges become permanent, the total number of permanent judges in Balochistan High Court will be thirteen.

Post census survey to commence from July 8

ISLAMABAD, June 27 (INP): The Census Monitoring Committee (CMC) has decided to start Post Enumeration Survey from 8th July, 2023 for validating the provisional data collected during the country’s first-ever digital census.

According to details, the decision was taken during 16th Meeting of Census Monitoring Committee (CMC), chaired by Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal.

It decided to conduct enumeration in three (3) districts of Kohistan that are remaining and snow-bound areas of KP, AJ&K and GB from 8th July, 2023.

The meeting was attended by all members of Census Monitoring Committee including Federal Minister for Information Technology (IT) Syed Amin ul Haque.

During the meeting, it was also decided to conduct enumeration in three (3) districts of Kohistan that are remaining and snow bound areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Gilgit Baltistan (GB) from 8th July, 2023.
