PPP leader encourages PML-N collaboration in caretaker setup talks

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senior Leader Nayyar Hussain Bukhari has emphasised the importance of unity and consensus within the ruling Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) coalition.

In an interview with a news-TV station, he encouraged Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership to collaborate with allied parties during the ongoing dialogues with Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif over the caretaker setup.

Bukhari also reiterated PPP’s commitment to accepting decisions collectively made through consensus, highlighting the significance of timely and transparent elections as crucial steps towards the country’s stability and progress.

Commending the coalition government’s prudent policies that steered the nation out of the economic crisis, Bukhari affirmed PPP’s unwavering dedication to democracy and the rule of law.

Despite differences of opinion, he acknowledges a positive working relationship with PML-N leaders. Moreover, he assures that remaining reservations, especially regarding the population census, will be addressed through consultations with all parties involved.
