KP govt bans public gatherings and rallies in province

BAJAUR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa caretaker government has announced province-wide ban on public gatherings and rallies following the deadly suicide bomb blast in Bajaur.

The KP Home Department issued a circular in this regard on Wednesday and sent it to divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners.

The Home Department directed all the officials to get the order implemented immediately and strictly. There will be ban on public gatherings except the ones allowed by the deputy commissioners, it added.

The circular cites worsening law and order situation and the increasing terrorism incidents for slapping the ban on public gatherings, political demonstrations and rallies.
