KP anti-corruption watchdog summons Shaukat Yousafzai in corruption case on 18th

PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa the Anti-Corruption Department (ACD) has summoned PTI leader and former provincial minister Shaukat Yousafzai to record his statement in a corruption case on August 18.

The ACD through the notice has asked Yousafzai to appear in person on August 18.

Yousafzai is a senior leader of the PTI, and he served as provincial minister for finance and revenue from 2013 to 2018. He is also the current president of the PTI’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa chapter.

This is not the first time that Yousafzai has been summoned by the anti-corruption department. In 2019, he was also asked to appear in person to record his statement in a separate corruption case. He denied any wrongdoing in that case, and the matter is still under investigation.

It remains to be seen what will happen in the case against Yousafzai. However, the fact that he has been summoned by the anti-corruption department is a serious development. It will be interesting to see how he responds to the allegations against him.
