ISLAMABAD: Keeping in view of the fast growing political turmoil in the country, rising scourge of terrorism as well as the precarious security situation at borders, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Spokesperson urged the state and the government to take urgent course correction steps and redefine their priorities to tackle these looming threats, posing serious threats to national security, with collective wisdom.
In a statement on Thursday, PTI Spokesperson expressed deep concerns over the widespread despondency, disenchantment and political uncertainty coupled with the resurgence the menace of terrorism.
He stressed the need that the state and the government should take immediate course correction measures and shun the repressive policy of political victimization and adopt a serious and unified approach to protect the national security.
PTI Spokesperson paid glowing tributes to the soldiers who bravely and successfully fought and repulsed the terrorists’ attack on the Pak-Afghan border.
He said the soldiers, who sacrificed their lives while foiling the evil designs of the terrorists, were the heroes of the nation. “We salute our martyrs and express our heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with their families,” he added.
PTI spokesperson stated that national security was the most sensitive and serious matter, the clouds of uncertainty hovering over it was a matter of concern for the state and the government, as alarming upsurge was witnessed in the number of terrorists’ attacks across the country, especially in the border areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
PTI spokesperson said that the souring tension on the Pak-Afghan border and the armed attacks from across the borders were concerning because the nation, the law enforcement agencies and the forces had made great sacrifices in the long-drawn-out battle to flush out the scourge of terrorism and restore normalcy in the country.
He alarmed that the terrorism was rearing its ugly head again in the bordering areas, which was posing a great challenge to the hard-won peace.
PTI spokesperson highlighted that owing to the worst economic disaster and political uncertainty, anarchy and chaos were spread from Kashmir to Gilgit and from Karachi to Gwadar that further aggravated the national security situation.
PTI spokesperson said that the worst deviation from the constitution, the brutal violation of human rights and the stubbornness of the state to run the country’s politics through coercion and unlawfully were the main contributors to the prevailing widespread uncertainty and mayhem in the country.
He emphasized that the economic revival, borders security and protection of national security warranted extraordinary concentration of state resources and energy as well as complete and unified national approach.
PTI spokesperson underlined that the state and the government should realized the sensitivity of the situation and should change their current approach so as to get the country out of the quagmire of problems.
He advised that instead of sowing the seeds of chaos, hatred and division in the nation through extra-constitutional and unlawful steps along with the worst repressive actions, it was high time to make efforts to unite the nation.
He said that a politically united nation and a government with public mandate and trust could steer the country out of complex challenges.
PTI spokesperson believed in supremacy of the constitution, the rule of law and the restoration of democracy in its original spirit because these were the major sources to unite the nation.
