Fees to be paid by LHCBA lawyers increase manifold

LAHORE: Different fees that have to be paid by the lawyers of the Lahore High Court Bar Association (LHCBA) have increased manifold on Friday.

The life membership fee of the LHCBA has increased by Rs3,000 to reach Rs10,000 from Rs7,000.

The visa letter fee has been increased by Rs2,000 to Rs3,000 while the good standing certificate fee has been increased by Rs2,000 to Rs3,000.

Similarly, the experience certificate, the armed license, and NOC for the membership fees have been increased by Rs500 to Rs1,000.

The duplicate life membership fee has been increased by Rs400 to Rs500 while that of the membership identity card by Rs300 to Rs500.

The lawyers expressed their worry over the increase and demanded a reduction in the fees.

On lawyers’ demand, the General House meeting of the LHCBA has been called on September 11. In the meeting, proposals will be sought to retain or reduce the fees.
