Pak-Japan defence collaboration needed to be strengthened further: Anwar Ali

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Federal Minister for Defence, Lieutenant General (Retd) Anwar Ali Hyder has emphasized the need for further strengthening the existing defence collaboration between Pakistan and Japan.

This was stated by him while talking to Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan, Wada Mitsuhiro, who called on him in Islamabad on Thursday.

Anwar Ali Hyder commended the efforts of Japanese government for regular holding of Pakistan-Japan Politico-Military and Military to Military Dialogues.

“Such interactions are a concrete expression of the desire of both countries to enhance mutual defence collaboration,” he added.

The minister also emphasized on continuation of training and collaboration between Navies of the two countries.

The Japanese Ambassador assured of his government’s continued support to Pakistan and exploring new avenues of mutual collaboration.
