GUJRAT: Glowing tributes were paid to Prophet Muhammad (SAW) as eminent scholars and academicians at a seminar here at Hafiz Hayat Campus on Wednesday discussed the life and teachings of the founder of Islam and said that he is an eternal source of guidance.
The one-day seminar, titled ‘Life of the Prophet (SAW) and its significance in modern times, was organised by the Department of Islamic Studies and aimed at enlightening young students with the glittering aspects of the great personality of the prophet.
The seminar was presided over by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Muhammad Mushahid Anwar while the host coordinator of the Department of Islamic Studies was Dr Syed Hamid Farooq Bukhari.
The chief guest was prominent religious scholar Syed Atiqur Rehman Shah Bukhari while the guests of honour were columnist and intellectual Brigadier (Retd) Babar Alauddin and Registrar Muhammad Naeem Butt.
Syed Atiqur Rehman Shah Bukhari said that every aspect of the Holy Prophet’s life is a torch for humanity. He blessed humanity with the great eternal manifesto of morals, civilization and governance. The personality of the Holy Prophet (SAW) can successfully lead us in every sphere of our lives on both worldly and spiritual levels.
“He was a practical example of purity and goodness,” he said.
Prof. Dr Muhammad Mushahid Anwar said that the Prophet’s biography is like a beacon for humanity for all times to come. It is incumbent upon every Muslim to follow the teachings of the holy Prophet and become a role model for humanity.
Brig. (Retd) Babar Alauddin said that the blessed personality of the Holy Prophet (SAW) is the sole reason for the existence of the universe. “The message of the Holy Prophet is peace, tolerance, co-existence and justice,” Brig. Aladdin said.
Mohammad Naeem Butt said that the personality of the Holy Prophet will remain a source of ever-lasting success for us all through his teachings of tolerance, non-hatred and a penchant for human welfare.
Dr Syed Hamid Farooq said that remembering the Prophet (SAW) is an honour and a blessed duty. The guidance of the Holy Prophet (SAW) will continue forever.
