She said that India had turned Kashmir into a military zone and war garrison where human rights violations were taking place every now and then. She said post Aug 2019, Modi regime has taken number of steps to disempower and disenfranchise Kashmriis and the authorities have intensified their atrocities in the occupied territory.

She said that the resolution of the Kashmir dispute was imperative not only for long-lasting peace in India, Pakistan and Kashmir, but also for the entire world.

She urged the international community to take sensitivity of the Kashmir dispute into account and put pressure on India to stop rights violations in the territory and resolve the dispute in accordance with the United Nations resolutions and aspirations of the Kashmiri people. India’s stubborn policy is the biggest obstacle to settlement of the Kashmir dispute, she added.
