PM expresses deep grief over devastating earthquake in Afghanistan

ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar has expressed deep grief over the devastating earthquake in Herat, Afghanistan. In a tweet, he expressed heartfelt sympathy for the communities affected by the disaster.

The Prime Minister said Pakistan stands in solidarity with the Afghans during this difficult time. He said National Disaster Management Authority has been instructed to send maximum support to Afghanistan.

Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar said Afghan government has specifically asked for sending medical team, field hospital, 50 tents and 500 blankets. He said on his instructions, in addition to the relief goods, all the requested items are being dispatched in the afternoon today, with more relief goods to follow.
