- Asks district administrations to keep strict vigilance on fertilizer prices
- Stresses need for developing tourism sector in region from Khunjerab Pass to Swat
ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar directed the authorities concerned to ensuring timely and uninterrupted fertilizer supply for Rabi crop.
While chairing a review meeting regarding provision of Urea for the Rabi crop here on Tuesday, he instructed for the timely arrangement of the fertilizer’s buffer stock.
Anwaarul Haq Kakar asked the respective district administrations to keep strict vigilance on the fertilizer prices.

The meeting was also apprised of the current production of the fertilizer and the expected demand.
The participants were briefed about the decisions of the Economic Coordination Committee for the uninterrupted provision of the fertilizer. The prime minister instructed the relevant ministries to formulate a comprehensive mechanism for the smooth supply of the fertilizer for Rabi crop.
The meeting was also briefed about the prices of the fertilizer and its raw material, and the demand and supply for the fertilizer factories.
Caretaker ministers Gohar Ejaz, Kausar Abdullah Malik and Muhammad Ali, Advisor to PM Ahad Cheema and relevant senior officers attended the meeting.
Development of tourism sector in Swat region
Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar has emphasized the potential for developing tourism sector in the region from Khunjerab Pass to Swat with the collaboration of the business community and China.
He was talking to CEO of Pakistan Services Limited Murtaza Hashwani who called on him in Islamabad on Tuesday. The Prime Minister noted that the region from Khunjerab Pass to Swat has unlimited tourism potential.
Discussion was held on the use of government-owned buildings in good locations for business activities through public-private partnership.
Murtaza Hashwani proposed a business partnership between the country’s business community and the government through the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC). He was also appreciative of the Prime Minister’s efforts for bringing economic stability in the country.
