ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan on Friday made it clear that the people of the country were firmly standing with PTI and its Chairman Imran Khan despite all the unabated repression and operation, which was evident from the Charsadda’s workers conventions that turned into huge public gatherings.
PTI Secretary General said that three days ago, a PTI workers’ convention was held at Shakoor Khan’s hujra in Charsadda, which eventually turned into a massive public meeting.
Similarly, he stated that on Thursday, the PTI workers’ convention was held at Fazal Khan’s residence, which was attended massive crowd that showed their love for the party Chairman Imran Khan.
Omar Ayub said that the huge public participation in the PTI workers conventions clearly indicated that the people of the country firmly stood with their beloved leader despite all odds.
He expressed optimism that the people of the country would bring Imran Khan into power with convincing majority in the next general elections.
Meanwhile, PTI Secretary General strongly condemned the Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) police continued raids on the PTI leaders’ residences. He said that the KP police raided on the residence of Kamran Bangash, former KP Minister despite the fact he was granted bail by the court. He pointed out that the police was cutting the CCTV system so that the illegal raid was not recorded.
Omar Ayub made it clear that Muhammad Abid Majeed Home Secretary and Akhtar Hayat Khan Gandapur IG KP were directly responsible for these illegal raids and enforced disappearances.
“They are responsible for the Human Rights violations that are being carried out with impunity,” he added.
Likewise, Omar Ayub said that PTI leader Akbar Tanoli was abducted from Islamabad approximately two weeks ago from Islamabad. “His is an ‘Enforced Disappeared Person’ in an attempt to force him to leave PTI,” he maintained.
However, Omar Ayub stated that there was no news of his whereabouts due to which his family members and the extended PTI family were extremely worried about his well-being.
“Sarfraz Bughti Minister Interior, Secretary Interior, IG Islamabad, DIG Operations Islamabad, SP Islamabad, and DC Islamabad are directly responsible for executing Enforced Disappearances and extra judicial actions,” he said.
PTI Secretary General vowed that these people should be held accountable for their illegal actions and Human Rights violations.
