Two martyred, 7 injured as suicide bomber targets security forces convoy in Bannu: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Two civilians were martyred and seven others including three security personnel were injured when a suicide bomber targeted a convoy of security forces, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to military’s media wing, a suicide exploded himself near convoy of security forces in Baka Khel area of Bannu.

As a result of explosion, two civilians were martyred while three security personnel among seven others sustained injuries.

ISPR said that the suicide bomber was an Afghan citizens belonging to Hafiz Gul Bahadur groups of banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).

Operation was underway to eliminate any other terrorist present in the area and security forces of Pakistan were committed to eradicate menace of terrorism, ISPR added.
