UE hosts 4th Int’l conference on ‘Advances in Materials Science’

LAHORE: The two-day 4th International Conference titled: “Advances in Materials Science (AIMS2023),” started at University of Education here on Wednesday.

Apart from local scholars participation, a large number of scientists and scholars from UK, China, Germany, Spain, Malaysia, Egypt, South Africa, South Korea, Australia, Turkey, South Korea, Iran, Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Argentina and Iraq are attended the conference.

More than 120 presentations will be delivered by eminent scientists from all over the world in-person and through Zoom meetings during the conference.

University of Education (UoE) Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Alam Saeed presided over the inaugural session of the conference ted while Punjab University of Technology Rasul Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam was the chief guest at the ceremony.

On the occasion, Director Division of Science and Technology Prof Dr Rana Abrar Hussain shed light on objectives of the conference and expressed gratitude to the participants for their attendance.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, the UoE VC said that success of the previous conferences motivated us to organize another conference on large scale, which is a great step in the field of research.

“With the help of progress in the field of materials science, we can overcome the crises like energy faced by the world, especially Pakistan”, Dr Saeed asserted, adding that the participation of renowned scientists from different countries will benefit the young scholars immensely, for which we are also grateful to them.

In his speech, Prof Dr Rauf-i-Azam congratulated the University of Education, Lahore on holding an international conference on this important topic. He said that the UoE is playing its vital role in the field of research by organizing such a fruitful international conferences one after another.

Advances in materials science have made human life easier, which shows its importance. A large number of the UoE faculty, staff and students were also present on this occasion.
