Nawaz surely to get long relief: Sheikh Rasheed

RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League (AML) chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed on Thursday commented on the acquittal of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Nawaz Sharif.

Talking to the media on the occasion of his appearance in the court, Ahmed said that Nawaz Sharif would receive a long relief, but the person who thinks people are stupid is the biggest idiot himself.

He said that he thought that they would throw him out of Lal Haveli, but Allah is the giver, he has not sent any message to anyone, and he will start his election campaign from December 10. Ahmed also said that the decision of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) yesterday seems to give them the mark of the bat.
Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa has fixed the date of February 8 for the election. Ahmed said that the court has given one week’s time to the Punjab government
to submit the complete report of his cases.
He said that he was not involved in any video or demonstration in the May 9 events, and after cutting the challah, his name has been put in the May 9 cases. The man who vouched for his car was also picked up.

Apart from this, the AML chief also said that Chief Justice Qazi Faiz Isa has said that elections are going to be held. People have hung electricity bills outside their houses, people have also hung bags of flour and children’s fees outside their houses, and the living conditions of the poor have become beyond their reach.

He said that he has been contesting elections since his school days and the passion in the elections is not present in the public this time. He will start the election campaign from the 10th and will win both the seats in Rawalpindi.
