Online cabbie abducted from Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: An online cab driver has been abducted by unidentified riders from I-9 police station area of Islamabad on Thursday.

The police have registered a case under the provisions of kidnapping on the complaint of the driver’s father.

According to police, victim Syed Usman Maqbool is a resident of Margalla Town Phase III and he was missing after online booking for a distant ride.

The father in his complaint to police said that his son called his wife at 2 0’clock and told her that he was going to Gujar Khan from Faizabad.

Then the number of both the son and passengers were switched off and were still off, the text of the case revealed.

It is suspected that someone has kidnapped his son, the father said in his complaint.

However, the area police registered a case and started searching for the suspects and kidnapped driver.
