Punjab Traffic Police issues over 74,000 driving licences in a single day

LAHORE: Following an order by Punjab Chief Minister Syed Mohsin Naqvi to crack down on the drivers who do not possess licenses, the traffic police issued over 74,000 licenses Saturday.

According to the spokesman for the Punjab Traffic Police, the sergeants also issued more than 74,000 driving learner permits in a single day.

Lahore surpassed other districts of Punjab where over 24,000 licenses were issued.
Additional IG Traffic Police Punjab Mirza Faran Beg has applauded the performance of CTO, Lahore Captain (r) Mustansar Feroze.

A monitoring center, headed by the additional IG Traffic Police, Punjab, has also been set up at traffic headquarters to count the number of licenses issued and the number of people challaned.

The spokesman informed that following the crackdown on underage drivers, there was a great rush of people at driving centers.
