Govt accepts passport tokens for Hajj application amid passport delays

ISLAMABAD: Secretary of Religious Affairs Dr Attaur Rehman reassured the public that the delay in passport issuance will not impact the upcoming Hajj operations.

Addressing concerns, he mentioned that the tokens received upon applying for passports will also be accepted for Hajj applications, providing a seamless process for potential pilgrims.

Dr. Attaur Rehman has engaged with the Ministry of Home Affairs to discuss the sponsorship scheme for Hajj applicants, ensuring a collaborative approach to facilitate the pilgrimage experience.

Pakistani Muslims aspiring for Hajj next year have a reason to rejoice as the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony announced a landmark update: no more mandatory COVID-19 vaccination for pilgrims.
