Peshawar: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Caretaker Minister for Newly Merged Districts Affairs, Industries, Commerce and Technical Education, Dr. Aamer Abdullah has termed the land record settlement and digitization project in the newly Merged districts very important and directed the concerned authorities to speed up the work on it.
In this regard, the caretaker minister presided over a meeting in the office of Senior Member Board of Revenue (SMBR) wherein, Senior Member Board of Revenue Ikramullah and other board members and officers of the project participated.
On this occasion, details regarding the aims and objectives of the said land settlement project and work done so far in this regard, were provided to the minister.
He was informed that presently the project includes the settlement and digitization of lands in 7 sub-divisions of the merged districts, while 18 sub-divisions have been added in the new PC One.
He was further informed that the process of land measurement in Upper Kurram, Lower Kurram and Landi Kotal sub-divisions has been completed. On this occasion, the caretaker minister said that same project will prove to be a catalyst to the permanent solution of most of the disputes arising from land and other factors in the merged districts, so it should be expedited.
He also directed to include in the project, the aspect of effective public awareness regarding the importance of the project to the public, while a special professional IT tool to run the project in an orderly manner, which includes a formalized grievance redressal procedure and features, available for obtaining feedback.
