Four dead in dumper-Suzuki van collision in Badin

BADIN: Four persons lost their lives after being crushed by a speeding dumper truck here near ‘Scape Mori’ on Khoski Road at Nindo city.

According to rescue and police sources, the accident took place at Muradani Stop near Nindo City where a dumper truck collided with Suzuki pick-up van head-on, leaving four persons on board the Suzuki dead. Three others also sustained injuries and one of them has been referred to Hyderabad due to his precarious condition.

The police said the victims were identified as: 38-year-old Aijaz, son of Haji Khaskheli; 20-year-old Sufiyan, son of Muhammad Sharif; 34-year-old Noman, Muhammad Hassan and 27-year-old Rab Nawaz, son of Ghulam Rasul Khaskheli while Mohsan and Abid Ali and others injured in the incident hailing of village Torpi Khaskheli and Mir Khan Khaskheli, Jhudo.

The Badin Police have also initiated a thorough investigation to determine the circumstances leading to the tragic incident. The police stated that the unfortunate incident occurred as the Suzuki was travelling from Badin to Nindo City. They said that the primary reason for the accident seemed the negligence of the dumper driver. The bodies were earlier transferred to Dr Sikander Ali Mandhro DHQ Hospital Badin for post-mortem amd medico-legal formalities.

The devastating accident serves as a grim reminder of the importance of road safety and highlights the need for strict enforcement of traffic rules and regulations to prevent such tragic incidents in the future.
