LAHORE: The recent visit of Aspire Institute’s alumni team to CERP marked a notable collaboration between two organisations deeply committed to societal advancement. Aspire Institute, established in 2017 at Harvard University, has a strong focus on developing leadership skills in low-income, first-generation college students, globally.
CERP, known for its impact-driven approach in improving decision-making through research, analytics, capacity-building and advisory services, consistently prioritises human capital development and inclusive growth. The interaction was more than just an exchange of ideas, rather celebration of a shared commitment to making a meaningful impact on society.
During the visit, Aspire Institute’s alumni, who have undergone a comprehensive leadership development program, engaged in in-depth discussions with the CERP team. These discussions centred around learning from CERP’s significant societal contributions and exploring the array of projects and initiatives spearheaded by CERP.
In addition to these exchanges, the Aspire Alumni had the opportunity to engage with CERP’s leadership. President and CEO, Maroof A. Syed and Executive Vice President of Analytics and Labs, Imran Zia, delivered insightful talks.
Javed Younas, a Professor of Economics at the American University of Sharjah and Research Fellow at CERP, shared his professional journey during a motivational session. He expanded on the idea of true inclusivity and discussed ways in which the country’s youth can overcome the deep-rooted class divisions present in the society.
This event emphasized the mutual dedication of both organizations to nurture talent and develop leadership in a way that aligns with their shared mission to drive impact and improve lives. The collaboration between Aspire Institute and CERP is set to enhance the efforts in fostering development and progress.
