PESHAWAR: A meeting of the Cabinet Committee on PHA Mega City was held at the Civil Secretariat Peshawar under the chairmanship of the caretaker provincial minister for prisons relief and settlement Justice retired Irshad Qaiser. The meeting was attended by the caretaker provincial minister for Commerce, Industries Dr. Amir Abdullah, caretaker provincial minister for agriculture and climate change Asif Rafiq, special assistant to the caretaker chief minister for housing Zafarullah Khan and the relevant authorities of the housing department. Â
In the meeting, a detailed discussion was held regarding PHA Mega City. Officials of the Provincial Housing Authority informed the meeting in detail about the aims and objectives of the PHA Mega City, while on highlighting some issues, the Cabinet Committee decided to visit the Mega City where the site will be reviewed. The Cabinet Committee directed the authorities to provide master plan, environmental analysis, hydrology study to committee while directed to take steps to provide flood protection.
