BRT Peshawar surpasses 329,000 daily passengers amid growing confidence

PESHAWAR: The Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) system in Peshawar has marked a milestone with a daily ridership surpassing 329,000 commuters, signaling growing public trust in the service. According to a spokesperson for Trans Peshawar, the system currently operates 244 buses, all fully operational.

However, the success story is not without challenges, as the institution faces difficulties arising from incidents of stone pelting. Over the last two days, six buses experienced broken windows in such incidents, leading to the temporary removal of these buses for repairs. This has exerted additional pressure on the remaining operational buses.

Trans Peshawar urges passengers to collaborate in thwarting such disruptive activities. Despite the challenges, BRT is viewed as a public service, and safeguarding its integrity is a shared responsibility.
