Agencies issue security alert for Baloch protesters in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: The intelligence agencies have issued a security alert for the participants of a protest being held these days in the Red Zone area of Islamabad, reported on Friday.

The Baloch Yakjehti Council (BYC) and Balochistan Shuhda Forum (BSF) have been staging a protest camp outside the Islamabad National Club for the last several days.

According to the letter by the agencies, due to tension on the Iran-Pakistan border, there is a security threat as anti-national elements and terrorists can target these protest camps to sabotage peace and order in the country.

The letter further says that it should be clear that Balochistan National Party (Mengal) leader Jamal Raisani is already facing a security threat.
