Five workers of telecom company kidnapped in Balochistan

AWARAN: A group of five labourers and a technician of a telecom company have been kidnapped by unknown armed men in Awaran district of Balochistan province, reported on Thursday.

According to sources, the workers had gone to Sajidi Bazar in Hoshab tehsil of Kech district in Turbat to install a mobile tower, from where they were reportedly abducted near Dandar Dhale Bazar which is 7 km away from Awaran.

The disappearance of the workers was revealed when they did not reach their office in Awaran.

Sources said that the abducted workers belong to Punjab.

Officials of the mobile phone company have also confirmed the abduction of their employees.

The district administrations of Awaran and Kech are making efforts to recover the kidnapped workers, sources added.
