Former premier Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain turns 85

GUJRAT: PML-Q chief and former prime minister and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain celebrated his 85th birthday on Saturday.

Ch Shujaat was elected as member national assembly for first time in 1985 and became minister for industries under then prime minister Muhammad Khan Junejo. After joining Muslim League, Ch Shujaat remained interior minister for two terms.

During the rule of later General Pervez Musharraf, Ch Shujaat was appointed as prime minister for a period of three months. After exile of Nawaz Sharif, Ch Shujaat laid the foundation of PML-Q and he is still leading the party as its chief.

Friends, relatives and political workers of PML-Q have expressed best wishes for the senior politician.
