MULTAN: Jahangir Tareen, the Chairman of the Istehkam-ePakistan Party (IPP), declared at an election rally in Multan that in the event of the government formation, he will collaborate with Nawaz Sharif, who will serve as their leader.
Addressing the crowd, Tareen, rooted in Multan, expressed his commitment to improving the local economy, ensuring salary increments for workers, and working collectively to make the country prosper.
He emphasized the need for prayer and unity, stating that regardless of political affiliations, everyone must work together for the nation’s betterment. Tareen predicted economic growth, job creation, and national development under Nawaz Sharif’s leadership, aiming for a brighter future post-February 8.
Meanwhile, Pakistan Muslim League-N President and former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif countered allegations of corruption during a press conference at the party secretariat in Lahore.
He highlighted a recent report from Transparency International, asserting that the corruption index decreased during Nawaz Sharif’s tenure. Shehbaz Sharif dismissed accusations of corruption related to the motorway project, emphasizing its positive impact on millions of people. He criticized the 2018 government formation, labeling it as the result of rigging and witchcraft, and urged the public to decide the country’s future through votes on February 8.
