Nine terrorists killed in KP in two separate operations

RAWALPINDI: The security forces on Friday and Saturday in two separate targeted intelligence-based operations killed nine terrorists, including a ‘High-Value Target’ in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), the military said in a statement.

In an intelligence-based operation conducted by the security forces in Tank District, two terrorists, High Value Target (HVT) Rehmat Ullah also known as Badar Mansur and terrorists Amjad also known as Babar were killed, said a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

In another operation conducted in South Waziristan district, after intense fire exchange, seven terrorists were killed. In additions, these terrorists were found in possession of weapons, ammunition, and explosives, and involved in numerous terrorist activities.

They were involved in numerous terrorist activities in the region, including attacks on security forces and extortion and target killing of innocent civilians, said the statement.

However, during the operation Sepoy Shahzeb Aslam (age 29 years; resident of district Haripur), having fought bravely, was martyred.

“[The] security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipe out the menace of terrorism from the country,” the ISPR concluded.

On Monday security forces killed two terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in KP’s Mardan district. Both terrorists were killed following an exchange of fire during the operation.
