MURIDKE: At least six people died and another three injured when a truck went out of control and crushed a car coming from Lahore on GT Road in Muridke on Saturday.
According to Rescue 1122 personnel, the speedy truck was taking U-turn in front of Ravi Rayan factory when its driver lost it control and hit a car coming from the opposite side.
Rescue 1122 teams rushed to the spot and shifted the seriously wounded to a hospital after on-the-spot first aid treatment. The Rescue personnel handed over the dead bodies to the police.
The deceased were identified as 22-year-old Shahbaz, 35-year-old Zaheer Abbas, 35-year-old Iram Shahzadi, 10-year-old Abdul Wahab, eight-year-old Ayyan and six-year-old Iman Fatima.
The deceased were named as 40-year-old Naseem, 35-year-old Shameem and 18-year-old Khadija.
Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has expressed deep condolences over the loss of lives in traffic accident in Muridke. He offered his condolences to families of the deceased.
The chief minister directed the hospital administration to provide best possible treatment to the wounded.
Four youth of same family die in Bhakkar car-truck smash
Four young men of a same family breathed their last when their car hit by a truck on Bhakkar-Jhang Road on Saturday. The accident occurred in Hyderabad Thal area.
The family of the young men was hosting a wedding but the festivities have now turned into mourning. An injured in the accident was rushed to CMH Bhakkar but later he was referred to Lahore for emergency treatment.
