KP CM includes police martyrs’ families in Ramadan assistance package

PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Chief Minister, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, has made a significant announcement, declaring the inclusion of the heirs of police martyrs in the province’s Ramadan assistance package.

This decision was made during a pivotal meeting concerning law and order, chaired by Chief Minister Gandapur and attended by high-ranking officials including the Chief Secretary and the Inspector General of Police.

In a bid to bolster law enforcement capabilities, the meeting saw the allocation of 3 billion rupees for the procurement of armored vehicles and weaponry for the police force. Furthermore, Chief Minister Gandapur’s directive to extend support to the families of police martyrs underscores the government’s commitment to honoring their sacrifices.

Under the Ramadan package, each heir of a police martyr will receive 10,000 rupees, aimed at providing financial relief and recognition for their loss. Additionally, in a move to address long-standing grievances, the Chief Minister directed the establishment of a one-time quota for the recruitment of martyrs’ children into the police force. This measure ensures that all eligible candidates awaiting recruitment will be given an opportunity simultaneously through the one-time quota.

Moreover, Chief Minister Gandapur emphasized the importance of enhancing security measures across the province, directing the initiation of the Safe City project in divisional headquarters. He stressed the need for a comprehensive policy to safeguard important individuals, highlighting the government’s commitment to ensuring public safety and order.
