Chief Minster KP Ali Amin Gandapur stood for a picture with his counterparts, namely CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah, CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz, CM Balochistan Sarfraz Bugti and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
The group photo was taken after a meeting of the Apex committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council in Islamabad.
Gandapur who is a senior leader of the PTI has been severely critical of the ruling coalition, calling them ‘mandate thieves’ and corrupt. Only yesterday Gandapur threatened CM Punjab Maryam Nawaz for threatening him. “Will send police to your homes”, he said.
His attendance at the meeting and the picture therefore comes as a surprise given the hostility between the PTI and ruling coalition.
Nonetheless, the picture was taken positively on X (formerly twitter) with netizens calling it a welcome step.
