President summons joint session of Parliament on Apr 18

ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari has summoned the joint session of the Parliament on Thursday, (April 18) at 4:00 pm.

The President summoned the joint session of Parliament in exercise of the powers conferred under Article 54(1) and 56(3) of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.

The president will address the joint parliamentary session as per constitutional requirement.

The earlier notification regarding summoning the joint session of Parliament on April 16 stands cancelled.

Flag-hoisting ceremony at Naudero House

Meanwhile, President Asif Ali Zardari witnessed the national flag-hoisting ceremony at Naudero House here on Sunday.

A smartly turned out contingent of Sindh Police presented guard of honour to the President on the occasion. President Asif Zardari prayed for the progress and prosperity of the country.

Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, Faryal Talpur and officials of Sindh government were also present.
