Famous Bollywood actor Pankaj Tripathi’s family became victims of a devastating road accident on Saturday.
The tragic incident unfolded as his sister, Sarita Tiwari, and her husband Rajesh Tiwari, known as Munna Tiwari got critically injured in an accident near GT Road in Nirsa around 4 PM on Saturday, resulting in the unfortunate demise of Rajesh Tiwari, while Sarita Tiwari sustained critical injuries and is currently under intensive care at the SNCU of Dhanbad Medical College Hospital.
The accident took place when the couple was traveling from Kamalpur in Gopalganj, Bihar, to Chittaranjan, West Bengal. Their vehicle (registration number WB44D-2899) collided with a divider near Nirsa Market Chowk, resulting in extensive damage to the front part of the car. Emergency responders, aided by local residents, promptly extricated the victims from the wreckage and rushed them to Dhanbad Medical College Hospital. Despite efforts, Rajesh Tiwari succumbed to his injuries upon arrival, while Sarita Tiwari continues to fight for her life in the surgical ICU.
Rajesh Tiwari, who was employed by the Indian Railways and stationed in Chittaranjan, was returning to his duty station from his village when the tragic accident occurred.
This unfortunate event adds to the grief Pankaj Tripathi’s family has endured, having lost his father in August 2023. Pankaj Tripathi, known for his notable roles in various films and series, including Netflix’s Murder Mubarak, Sacred Games, and Gangs of Wasseypur, among others, is currently coping with this challenging time.
