Two Pakistanis detained by Saudi authorities for selling meth in Madinah

MADINAH: At least two Pakistani individuals were apprehended during a crackdown on drug trafficking in the Medina region, according to reports from Saudi media.

The suspects, accused of dealing in methamphetamine, underwent initial legal procedures before being handed over to the public prosecution.

Saudi Arabia has been actively conducting raids to combat drug peddling and smuggling activities, with recent efforts by the Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority resulting in the interception of narcotics concealed in luggage at various ports.

Among the seizures were significant quantities of narcotic tablets found in shipments entering through Duba Port and Jeddah Islamic Port Customs, as well as Captagon pills discovered hidden in a vehicle at Al-Haditha port.

Furthermore, the General Directorate of Narcotics Control arrested two individuals, one Pakistani and one Filipino, in Jeddah for attempting to sell 2.6 kilograms of methamphetamine.

In a separate incident, a Pakistani national was apprehended in Hafr Al-Batin city for involvement in methamphetamine distribution.
