Non-cricketing challenges

Whenever some international cricket match is organised in Rawalpindi-Islamabad, routine life in most parts of the twin cities gets seriously, badly and routinely affected, causing frustration to a large number of people, if not the entire local population. Roads leading to the match venues experience heavy traffic congestion owing to the closure of certain routes for security and crowd management purposes. Better planning and execution is needed on such occasions.
