The Injra R.S. Boys High School and Girls High School have not been upgraded to higher secondary status by the Punjab government. Injra is a centrally located town with more than 25 villages in its surroundings. However, there is no higher secondary school within a critical 20km radius. The Punjab government should direct the authorities concerned to upgrade the existing high schools in the area to higher secondary status in the best interest of the people so that the local students may be able to acquire education with peace of mind and without having to travel to other cities.
