Drastic change

People living in villages tend to be close to nature, leading a simple life. I was one such soul. I travelled by bus for the first time when I was in class IV. Women in those days were usually not allowed to go out except for getting treatment. Moral values were so strictly observed that even a married couple thought it unethical or immoral to sit together in the presence of their elders. With all this in mind, I find the world around me today to have undergone a drastic change, with television channels, both in terms of advertisements and dramas, destroying the moral fabric of society. The Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (Pemra) should consider being more proactive in this regard.
