Bollywood luminary Kareena Kapoor finds herself embroiled in legal woes following a petition aimed at banning her pregnancy book, citing the use of the term ‘Bible’ in its title.
Reportedly published in 2021, the pregnancy guide titled ‘Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible’ has sparked legal contention three years after its initial release, as per Indian media reports.
Advocate Christopher Anthony, acting as the petitioner, filed a case against both the publication and Kareena Kapoor herself.
The petition seeks a prohibition on the book’s sale and legal action against the actor. Subsequently, the Madhya Pradesh High Court issued notices to Kareena Kapoor and the bookseller in response to the complaint.
Anthony’s petition argues that the inclusion of the term ‘Bible’ in the book’s title is deemed disrespectful to the Christian community. He further asserts that equating Kapoor’s book with the Bible is inappropriate, insinuating that the actor employed this strategy for publicity.
While Kareena Kapoor’s recent film project was “Crew,” alongside Tabu and Kriti Sanon, her upcoming endeavors include “The Buckingham Murders Palace” and reportedly shooting for “Veere Di Wedding 2.”
