Three killed, six injured in violent incidents in twin cities

ISLAMABAD: As many as three person were killed while six others suffered bullet injuries in stabbing and firing related incidents which took place at various localities of twin cities in last 48 hours, informed sources said on Monday.
Police have registered separate cases against them under multiple charges including murder, attempted murder and 7 Anti Terrorism Act (ATA) against the accused. Some four accused were arrested by police, according to police spokesmen.
According to sources, a man namely Raheel stabbed Muhammad Kamran to death in Hosang area of Doltala during a brawl occured over land dispute. They said that the incident took place within limits of Police Station Jatli and the police with help of Rescue 1122 moved the body to hospital for postmortem.
A murder case has been registered against the accused who reportedly managed to flee from the scene after committing crime, sources said.
Similarly, unknown gunmen stormed into a house located in Ranotra Village, the precinct of PS Chontra, and shot dead former councilor Chaudhry Haji Rab Nawaz. The reason behind the murder was yet to assertained by the police whereas the unidentified gunmen fled from scene after committing crime.
In Islamabad, the Homicide Investigation Unit of Police Station Industrial Area has registered a murder case against unknown killers involved in stabbing a man namely Bilal Amjad in Sector G-7/3-1 and began investigation. According to contents of FIR, Navid Amjad told police that he received information that body of  his brother Bilal Amjad was placed in PIMS.
He added he rushed to hospital and seen the body of his brother who was stabbed into neck by unknown killers killing him on n the spot. He added his brother left house in a car on May 11, 2024 and did not return and was stabbed to death by unknown assailants. Police lodged FIR against unknown killers and launched manhunt for arrest of the accused, according to sources
In yet another incident, a furious gun battle broke out between two groups (Abdul Nabi Bangish Group and Aurangzeb Bangish Group) in Royal Home Society at Double Road, the limits of Police Station Nelor leaving six persons injured, sources said.
Police managed to arrest four persons identified as Abdul Nabi Bangish, Nasurallah Khan, Akbar and Azam besides seizing illegal arms and ammunition from their possession. Also, the police along with rescuers shifted six maimed persons to nearby hospitals for medical treatment, they said.
A case under sections 324/341/417/353/186/148/149 of PPC; AO 13/20/65 and 7 ATA has been registered against the accused on plaintiff of SI Haider Ali of PS Nelor. In the plaintiff, he told that armed men of two groups clashed with each other and wounded five persons including passer-by and head of a group.
IG Islamabad Syed Nasir Ali Rizvi taken notice of the incident and ordered SSP Operations to arrest the fleeing culprits.
