Alizeh Shah slams haters for trolling her attire at Hum Style Awards

Pakistani actor Alizeh Shah stirred controversy with her fashion choice at a recent award show. Sporting a short black dress paired with faux fur embellishments, her bold ensemble drew a barrage of criticism on social media. However, the Ehd-e-Wafa star remained undaunted by the negativity.

Taking a fearless stance, Alizeh addressed her detractors on social media, asserting, “Still looked better than the people sitting at home typing nonsense,” in an Instagram Story.

Prior to Alizeh’s response, the backlash was swift and harsh, with some comparing her to Indian actor Uorfi Javed, known for her daring fashion statements. Trolls inundated social media with negative comments and harsh judgments.

Commenting on an Instagram post, one user remarked, “She just got inspired by Urfi,” while another opined, “You just lost your attractiveness.”

This isn’t the first time, nor likely the last, that the Ishq Tamasha actor has faced cyberbullying on social media. Previously, she shared K-pop-inspired looks on Instagram, including colorful wigs, which also drew criticism. Her comment section was once again flooded with unpleasantness, with one user even stating, “I’m going to have nightmares now.”

Alizeh’s ongoing battle with trolls underscores the double standards prevalent in society. While celebrities are expected to dress conservatively, they are also scrutinized for not being fashion-forward enough. When they dare to express creativity through fashion, they face inevitable backlash. Alizeh’s response serves as a reminder that celebrities, like everyone else, are entitled to their own autonomy and individuality.
