Authorities in Dubai renewed the driving licences for 10 years for UAE and GCCC citizens while it is renewed for five years for residents from Pakistan, Philippines and other countries.
Renewal of driving licences is available online in most of the emirates, including Dubai. To renew your driving licence, you must settle all your traffic fines. A fine of 10 AED per month will be levied on customers who delay renewal of the driving licence for more than one month.

Penalties on delay of licence renewalÂ
According to RTA, The delay fine (10 AED) is calculated monthly from the expiration date of the licence, with a maximum of 500 AED. It is only required to pay the periodic renewal fees and undergo the evaluation test if the licence was expired for more than 10 years.
If the license is expired for more than ten years, the applicant will have to pass the driving test again to get evaluated the skills. The service fee for the evaluation test if the license has not been renewed for more than 10 years is following:
