T20 World Cup 2024: Pakistan’s 15-member squad ‘finalized’

KARACHI: As anticipation builds for the T20 World Cup 2024, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has finalized the Green Shirts’ squad for the tournament, sources revealed.

The 15-member squad, captained by Babar Azam, comprises five fast bowlers and four all-rounders.

According to sources, the squad also features three wicketkeepers, two batsmen, and one spinner. Pacer Haris Rauf is included after recovering from injury, while Hasan Ali, Salman Ali Agha, and Irfan Khan will travel as reserves.

The PCB will officially announce the squad after the first match of the T20I series against England on May 22, with the International Cricket Council (ICC) setting a May 25 deadline for finalizing the 15-member World Cup squad.

Pakistan is placed in Group A for the World Cup, alongside arch-rivals India, Ireland, Canada, and the USA.
