HARIPUR/GUJRANWALA: In-laws gunned down a woman and her father over a domestic dispute while the dead body of a abducted youth was found from canal here on Sunday, police said on Sunday.
According to details, Chaudhry Saleem hailing from Lora Abbottabad visited the residence of his daughter married with a man in Bandhi area of Haripur.
Saleem talked to the in-laws of daughter who often tortured the woman over minor domestic issues.
An exchange of hot words took place after which culprits gunned down woman along with her father and escaped after committing dual murder.
The deceased woman was mother of two children. The father-in-law had forcefully taken away one of the child and handed over to his daughter residing in another city due to which the lady was in severe mental stress.
The bodies were shifted to Khanpur hospital for postmortem and police after registering a case against the culprits at Malhniyal police station started raids for their arrest.
Body of abducted youth found from canal
In Gujranwala, the body of an abducted youth having face distorted with acid was found from canal here on Sunday.
According to details, unidentified culprits had abducted a youth identified as Rahat three days earlier.The abductors shot dead the youth, distorted the face with acid and threw it in a canal.
The police found the body from canal in Aroop police station jurisdiction and shifted it to hospital for postmortem.
A case was registered against unidentified kidnappers/murderers and investigations were kicked off.
